11 Jun Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: What they mean for your organization
424 Westefield Street
Most nonprofit and philanthropic leaders understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion, but they struggle what to “do” about them in their organizations. Uncertainty about the readiness of staff and board members, discomfort with one’s own skills at facilitating such a process, and a lack of clarity about what a diversity, equity, and inclusion process even is and what its outcomes should be – all of these things can result in DEI remaining on your organization’s “to-do” list.
At this joint meeting of Greenville Partnership for Philanthropy and the Nonprofit Alliance, we’ll hear from three nonprofit and philanthropic leaders about how their organizations have worked to see their missions and activities with a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we’ll use table discussions to identify ways we can work together and support each other in pursuing our work with an aim for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
